) at the Tori Amos show that feels like it was last night though it was nearly a month ago, now – indeed, that is the impact it had on me, the best of the three times I’ve seen her live by far – Tori + a string quartet =
– these “bootlegs” are not meant to steal from the living Goddess, Ms. Amos, but to demonstrate the amazingness of her music, her presence (yes, I think it can be heard on these tracks), and her voice. And to encourage those that have never been to one of her shows to go. I described her concerts to my father this morning as akin to a church service for me. My lack of any intention to steal is why most are just pieces of songs – I recorded bits that mean a lot to me, or that I feel I might use sometime in the future when I get around to buying another keyboard and mixing up some music of my own.
